PawPocket ("the app", "we", "us") helps you keep everything about your pet in
one place - profile, daily log, care calendar, spending, documents, and photos.
This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep data
collection to what the app needs to work.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we
receive an identifier and, depending on the sign-in method, your email
address and name: via Sign in with Apple, Continue with Google, or email +
password. You may also use the app as a guest, which creates an anonymous
account with no personal identifiers.
Profile you provide. Optional details you choose to add
(name, email, phone, city, and a profile photo).
Pet and pet-care content. The information you enter about
your pets - profiles, daily records, calendar events, reminders, spending
entries, and the photos and documents (e.g. invoices, medical records) you
upload.
Device preferences. Settings such as your chosen language
and weight unit, stored on your device.
Location, only for "Find a vet." If you use this feature,
your device's current location is sent to our server and forwarded to
Google Places to look up nearby veterinary clinics. We do not store this
location - it is used only to make that one search. You can instead type
an address to search without sharing your device location.
Feedback you submit. If you use "Report a Bug" in the
app, we store the category and message you write, along with your account
email if you're signed in.
We do not collect contacts or advertising identifiers, and
we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
How we use it
Your information is used solely to provide the app: to authenticate you, to
store and sync your pet data across your sessions, and to send the reminders you
set up. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored in our backend hosted on
Supabase
(Postgres database and file storage) in the United States. Access is restricted
by row-level security so each account can only reach its own data. Photos and
documents you upload are kept in private, owner-scoped storage.
Service providers
Supabase - database, authentication, and file storage.
Google and
Apple - only if you choose their sign-in, to authenticate you.
Google Places - only if you use "Find a vet," to look up nearby clinics from a location or address you provide.
Email delivery provider - to send account verification codes and, if you submit feedback, a copy to our support inbox.
Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app
(Profile - Account - Delete account). Deletion is immediate and
final: it removes your account and all associated data - pets, records,
spending, documents, photos, and profile - with no recovery period. There is no
need to contact us.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your
account, the data is removed as described above.
Children's privacy
PawPocket is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from them.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your information directly in the app. For
any privacy question or request, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be
reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
